Review: Lovehoney Cosmos Orgasmic Glass Dildo.

Length: 7.5 inches.
Diameter: 1.3 inches.
Material: Glass
Colour: Clear/multi

The Cosmos Orgasmic Glass Dildo is approximately 7/5 inches in length, double ended with a gentle curve along its length.  Presented complete with a black velvet storage pouch to keep your dildo safe and clean.  The ends are identical, with smooth pronounced bulbous heads. Through the center shaft is a swirling 'cats-eye-marble' effect, which is said to be unique to each dildo.  The finish is flawless.  I have had mine now for around three years, kept in the storage bag in a drawer full of other toys.  It is still in perfect condition.  The Cosmos' modest size and subtle contours make it a good introduction to glass toys, which due to the material can be unforgiving.
`

It is beautiful to look at, if that is important to you.  The glass reflects light gorgeously bringing the internal colours to life.  This, to me, isn't a huge deal with sex toys, function always comes before form.  That said, I love beautiful things, regardless of their use so it does add to my enjoyment of the dildo (and indeed, many glass toys).

Glass is extremely easy to keep clean as it is non porous and the smooth design of this dildo enables simple cleaning.  The exquisite smoothness allows it to glide with even the smallest amount of lubrication.  It is safe to use with both water and silicone based lubes.

The gentle curve aids g-spot/p-spot stimulation, however do bare in mind the dildo will not give an inch, it is completely rigid.  Therefore if you struggle with curved toys, keep in mind the curve will feel more pronounced than it is as it will not conform to you at all.  For me personally, this is a bonus as I enjoy very firm stimulation.

Glass is naturally cold to the touch, yet once warmed retains it's temperature very well.  It is simple enough to warm or cool in water/iced water if you enjoy temperature play, thus adding new dimensions to your play whether alone or with a partner(s).

The Cosmos Dildo is double ended, however the shorter length prevent its use in this way.  The two ends are the same, which seems a shames.  You can only use one at a time so a different shape or texture would have been fantastic, as seen on a number of similar dildos.  It isn't a big deal, though it seems rather a missed opportunity.  This is one reason I tend to pass over it in favour of others I own these days as I am able to get more from them.

To sum up, it is a good glass dildo, especially as a first.  It is simple, but well executed.  Smooth, easy to clean and a modest size.

Those looking to add to an existing collection of glass toys, or those looking for more intense stimulation may want to pass it by.  I am glad to own mine though.

Remember glass is completely rigid, especially if you are very new to sex toys or are looking for a dildo for predominantly anal use.  It works this way for me, but may not for all.

At less than £20 it is a great way to experiment with glass for the first time.

(Perfectly made, losing a point purely as I find it a little 'bland')

Review: Tantus Silk Dildos, (medium and large).

I already owned the medium version of this and rate it very highly, so was delighted to receive the large to review for sextoys.co.uk a while ago (under my old, now unused name forum name).

The dildos are made from medical grade silicone and the glossy finish is absolutely flawless, not a seam, lump, bump or snag in sight. This is wonderful, not only aesthetically, but also makes them completely safe for both anal and vaginal use and easy to clean. In fact, being silicone they can be cleaned and sterilised very easily using proprietary products or by boiling.

There is no unpleasant smell when you get them out of the packaging, as there can be with some cheap, jelly material toys. However, they do have the one flaw many silicon toys seem to have; they attract every bit of fluff, hair and dust around. It is worth storing the dildo(s) carefully (away from other silicon toys of course) and giving it a quick rinse before use.  Some fragrance free baby wipes are useful to keep at hand.

Being silicone they not compatible with silicon based lubes, however there are plenty of exceptionally good water based lubes available now so not a problem at all. Once lubed up, that silky smooth surface glides effortlessly against the skin in both vaginal and anal use.

The dildos are both compatible with just about any o-ring harness, requiring an o-ring of approx 1.25 to1.5 inches for the large and 1 to 1.5 inches for the medium.  They are firm and rigid enough to allow very good control when used with a quality, well fitting harness, with enough give to aid comfort for you partner. The flared base also makes them safe for anal use without a harness and makes controlling it easier when lubed up. It is worth noting however, that the flared base is flat it does not have a suction base so is not good for hands free play without a harness.

Their appearance is non offensive and non-intimidating, being plain in shape rather than overtly phallic, which is a bonus for some. Despite the smooth shape they are very good for stimulating the G-spot or P-spot thanks to the slight curve and gently bulbous tip. They look classic and stylish.

Size:

The medium is approx and inch wide and 5.5 inches long making it suitable for use as a first dildo with due time, care and preparation (particularly when used anally).  For a complete novice or a slower start there is a smaller size available of the silk dildo measuring a slender 0.75 inches wide and 4 inches long.

The large is around 1.5 inches wide and 7 inches long.  I find this manageable yet fulfilling and great as a step up once used to the medium.  Still perfectly smooth and quite a solid feel to it.   The base is actually thicker and sturdier on the medium, which surprised me.

As a rule, I prefer a more pronounced curve and a thicker head to a dildo, but the simplicity of the silk range is it's own genius.  The subtle curve and smooth gliding surface are not threatening for less experienced players and minimise the risk of irritation when used with a good water based lube.  Of course, it also makes hygienic cleaning an absolute doddle.   I would love to see these made in the smoother, velvety-feeling silicone, as opposed to the glossy type, but that is purely my personal preference

In summery; either one is a simple, collection-staple dildo, well executed.

Review: Spartacus Leather Collar & Screw Nipple Clamps

I've had this collar for some years now.
Being very much turned on by submission and a little pain and having a penchant for nipple teasing I couldn't wait to try it out. I'm a sucker for sensation play and the combination of supple leather and cold metal appealed to me immensely.  I was not disappointed at all!
The quality and feel is superb, even after a few years of use and storage.  It has a good weight to it and the collar is fairly thick so you really know it's there. The chains are sturdy and once tightly clamped over the nipple withstand quite some tugging from myself or my husband.
Aesthetically it is very pleasing, the thick black collar and weighty chains look very sexy once on and obviously the clamps make your nipples look amazing.
The collar is comfortable, even for a bigger girl such as myself, but there was still room for it to go bigger and plenty of scope to comfortably fit a much more slender neck. It was very easily adjusted and has a good strong buckle.
The chains are long enough to hang down below the nipple when on before rising up towards the collar which is fantastic as the weight pulls nicely and feels wonderful especially when you move.

The clamps themselves are very comfortable to wear once on and easily adjusted to match your pain/pleasure threshold.

There is no reason why you couldn't swap the clams, or indeed the whole chains for another set if the style of clamp doesn't suit your needs.  Attaching some clover clamps would certainly extend your use of this set as you experiment further, should you chose to.

Equally, you could attach a lead, or some wrist cuff to the metal ring at the front of the colour, with or without a set of clamps.  The ring is a good size to add whatever you can dream up.
My only complaint with the product involved the clamps: The rubber covers are a little loose or at least one is on mine - though it may just be that I got a dodgy one. This means you need to be careful not to lose them as they would be very uncomfortable to use (unless that's what you want...)

I also find they don't open all that wide so if your nipples are bigger than average (and mine certainly are not that big) it can be a little tricky getting the clamps on, but once they are and are tightened they feel amazing.
Overall a great product, the only complaints being very minor.
